One photo can start the search, not finish the specification

Different products can look almost identical in a photo while using different materials, sizes, internal structures, accessories, and packaging. A visual match does not automatically mean the same quality or function.

Send the clearest references available

  • Front, back, side, and close-up detail photos.
  • Label, model number, barcode, or packaging photos.
  • A photo beside a ruler or familiar object for scale.
  • Original website, marketplace, or video links.
  • A short video when movement, sound, light, or function matters.

Add the details a photo cannot show

  • Dimensions, weight, material, color, and required function.
  • Quantity per model or color.
  • Target quality level and acceptable alternatives.
  • Logo, packaging, label, and compliance requirements.
  • Destination country, target price, and required delivery time.
If you do not know every specification, say which details are uncertain. The search can begin with a reference product and a list of the features that matter most.

Exact match or similar alternative?

Tell the sourcing team whether you need the exact product, a visually similar option, a lower-cost alternative, or a product that can carry your own brand. Each goal leads to a different supplier search.
